We took an impromptu break from blogging because life had become so busy at the start of summertime here in Florida. We took a few trips, bought a new (to us) car, sold our chickens, took Emmanuel out of daycare, started a new business, did some house projects, and still maintained full time jobs. The start of summer was our season of hustle, hard work, and laying the foundation for a better life.
Honestly, it’s easy to get caught up in ALL the things, the busyness of life, the newness of building up better things, but that’s only for a season. Now we’re headed into a sweeter, slower, more intentional phase. We don’t exactly intend to slow down per se but rather to be more purposeful about how we spend our time. We cut back our Hulu subscription to the bare minimum, we’re focusing once again on more home cooked meals, and being more intentional about time spent relaxing on the front porch or investing in our personal education (through YouTube).
We’ve had a lot going on that we can’t exactly show you. Things that don’t have an immediate, tangible, result. Things that may take us years to fully be able to share with you. We’re okay with that. While we can’t show you everything we’ve been working on just yet we hope you’ll continue to enjoy reading our homestead blog as we enter this slower, sweeter, more intentional phase of life.
Our new blogging schedule will be a bit more intense. Posts are planned for 3x a week. Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday! We’ll also be sharing a fun new project with you in the coming weeks and we hope that you’ll follow along as we make these changes.
